NEW! ABAC Challenge #1: Anything Goes

It's finally here - the first challenge for the newest challenge blog on the block: Anything But A Card.

I am excited to be a part of this challenge blog, especially because it is different than all of the others. It's all about anything BUT a card.

There are so many other things that can be created, so why not stretch your creativity a little and share something besides a card with us?

 I created a little piece of crafty art. A wooden slab was covered with torn pieces of an old, well-loved romance novel. I collaged it, then embellished with twine, gold stars, "brads" & dried roses from my very own garden.

Good morning, friends! It's cold here in Oregon AND it's probably going to rain, but it's still a good morning because it just gives me an excuse to stay inside & create. Luckily, this Memorial weekend is supposed to be sunny & warm. I'll be enjoying the outdoors - No crafting! This is always a little weird for me, but it's also important to take a break.

I am addicted to creating those flowers! They are oh, so easy & I have so many supplies for them that I could make a MILLION - No joke :)

Mmm . . . mmm . . . yummy! There is nothing like a crisp apple covered in rich chocolate & coated with sprinkles (or nuts.) They are so good AND healthy, too. Ok, so the apple is healthy, but you can't always win.

Old T-Shirt = New & Wonderful Embellishment!

The image on this card was from an old shirt. I glued it to thick cardstock for stability before cutting it out. I painted the tissue paper & shoes to add more color as it had a "washed out" look originally. Finally, I added a button & rhinestone for a little bling.

When I painted the shoes, I added a little glittery embossing powder. This gave the shoes a bit of sparkle & lots of texture!
