Happy Christmas From Paris

I wish I could say those four words to you: "Happy Christmas From Paris!" Unfortunately, I am not able to travel there this year, but maybe one day . .

Is there somewhere in the world you'd like to be? Where? I'd love to hear from you :)

Strike A Pose, Reindeer

My new thing is dry embossing patterned paper. It adds so much more to it, including extra texture.

Unfortunately, the embossing is hard to see in this photo, but the cardstock (not the red) under the reindeers is embossed with snowflakes.

The charm is actually a tiny cookie cutter in the shape of a pine tree. Isn't that just charming? Ha!

Speaking of cookie cutters, do you make Christmas cookies during the season? What's your favorite?

Fill Your Life With Color

I love color! Any color, too. Whether its sweet and soft or vibrant and fun, I just can't resist adding it to my creations.

What's your favorite color palette?

Image was provided by Robyn's Fetish, who is a regular sponsor at Tuesday Alchemy and will be sponsoring an upcoming challenge at Crafty Creations.

Lady Anne's Paper Crafts: Friday Sentiments - Encouraging & Corners

This is my first creation as design team member for Lady Anne's Paper Crafts, a Ning group that offers challenges in a variety of themes for every day of the week. Everyone is welcome to join us and play, so head on over for inspiration & crafting fun!

I'm a part of the Friday Sentiments Team, so every creation will have a sentiment along with a "twist." The twist for this week is corners while the sentiment is encouranging.

I made the photo corners by using an easy corner bookmark tutorial, then jazzed them up with flowers, ribbons & star buttons (which I removed the shanks from, so they would lay flat.)

Relax

I really tried to make this card "masculine." However, my feminine side definitely won out! I just couldn't resist adding flowers, bling & ribbons.

The corner detail is actually a corner bookmark that can easily be removed. (See photo below.)

It's a wonderful way to give a little gift with your card and add extra detail to it.

Another addition of using those green paper scraps along with stickers that I've had for, well, uh, a very long time.

Have Fun & Create

For this card, I decided to use write my own sentiment - Well, at least half of it. Mostly because I didn't want to search for the letters in my mess of alphabet stickers.

You see a lot of handwritten text on scrapbook pages, but rarely on cards. What's up with that? I definitely creates a more personalized project.

Do you ever write your sentiments? Or do you stick with crafting tools & embellishments?

I'd also like to give a shout out to Robyn's Fetish, who generously supplied me with the crayon box digi. They will be our sponsor for an upcoming challenge at Crafty Creations.

Nature

I am on a mission. What mission is that? Well, it's a mission that every crafter is continuously on: Using up your stash!

I grabbed papers from my green scraps drawer & this is what I cam up with. Masculine cards are always difficult for me, but using green & natural twine made this card easy peasy for me.

What have you made with your scraps lately?

Precious Baby

I rarely make baby cards because I don't know a lot of people that are having babies. Most of my crew has already had their children.

Since I have these fantastic embellishments, I decided I might as well. Maybe someone I know will know someone, so they can use it.

{PIN}spirational Challenge #19 - View of Vanity

It's Tuesday - Do you know where your next challenge is? Well, I do . . .

It's at {PIN}spirational Challenges, which always has a new challenge featuring a photo that will inspire you.

Our sponsor is Meljen's Studios for our 19th challenge and they are just lovely! I used a digital stamp from Meljen's Studios for my project, so you can see one of their works in use.

I took inspiration from the bouquet of flowers, creating my own bouquet. Three roses stand tall inside a clear vase decorated by the roses' leaves, ribbon & a charm.

Roses are beautiful flowers and they smell wonderful, but my favorite flowers are actually Dahlias.

What's your favorite flower?

Thank You

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I appreciate everyone who leaves me such lovely comments & follows me to see what I'm up to everyday.

For this card, I used another card that I received for the image. The boots, pail & umbrellas were printed on a birthday card - Not the greatest card, but the image was filled with happy colors that I had to use it by fussy cutting it out.

This is a great tip! Give cards you've received new life by simply fussy cutting the images out.

Christmas In July

I made this a TRUE Christmas In July by adding a sexy lady in her bikini with a beach ball on this card (Digi stamp courtesy of Sassy Studio Designs - in case you want to get her for yourself!)

She looks a little light in the photo because I added paint to give her a creamy color to match the other colors in this card.

I also used some of my new Candi (See the gold & black circles?) They look like buttons or brads, but they are actually cardstock - Fantastic, I think!
