Adore

I only just recently learned that there is actually a term for cutting an image out - Fussy cutting. I'd heard people refer to it before, but it wasn't until this challenge by 365 Cards that I decided to find out exactly what it meant. Ha! Fussy cutting? It's just cutting - a classic method used by any crafter who collages, scrapbooks or makes anything with paper or fabric.

Anyway, I'll be in the know & start using the term :)

The big, gold flower was fussy cut - It's gorgeously coated with glitter for lots of sparkle!

Thank You Very Much

The main feature of this creation is the vibrant blue glitter flourish. It started out as plain, unaltered chipboard. I painted, glittered & sealed it before adding hemp twine & two flower buttons layered atop each other.

Red, White & Cupcake!

Here is a quick & easy card. It features a damask pocket (handmade by me, of course), satin ribbon, flower buttons & black rhinestones. Oh, yeah, don't forget the stamped cupcake on the flat card tucked into the pocket. CAS!

The Bear Baker

I won a challenge at Cupcake Craft and my prize was $5 at Digital Delights. This bear was one of the stamps that I picked out. Isn't she a cutie?

Ok, so . . . yeah, I love digital stamps. I hate coloring them in. Maybe "hate" is kind of a strong word for it. I think it's that I don't have the proper tools & I could use a coloring class or at least a few tips. Anyway, I tried chalk at first, but it just didn't turn out. I went to watercolor pencils. Hhmm . . . I am horrible at coloring - UG!

No matter, though. I finished up the card anyway. Sometimes, craft doesn't turn out the way you want. That's reality. I'm going to share it anyways 'cause the other details are cute.

I use those little punched flowers a lot. I love them, but mostly because I punched a MILLION of them out of my itty bitty scraps. I need to use them.
