Sparkle, Bloom & Bow

It is just not very cheery today. Rain, rain, rain! The local weather girl says it's "light showers" - Ha! Everything is soaked & it hasn't let up since I awoke this morning.

Flowers, Flowers & More Flowers

I love flowers! Luckily, my garden has a wonderful mix of 'em. Of course, I have to wait for the season, but it is upon us. One of these days, I'll have to share my photos with you. Until then, this card will have to do . . .

Emma & Fiona Have Arrived!

"Emma" & "Fiona" are two of my newest trinket shoes. Painted & glittered by hand, each shoe is sparkling with color & quite playful with polka dots. They are both available at Pin & Tack - Click on the photos to go to the shop.

Citrus Damask (Card No. 3)

It may seem that I am obsessed with my citrus damask papers, but I'm not . . no, really, I'm not. What am I doing then? Well, I'm glad you asked.

I'm on a mission to use every bit of them, so I don't add to my already overflowing drawer of scraps. I made lots & lots of parcel tags (available soon at Pin & Tack) from this cardstock. As with every project, there are always leftovers. Since my motto is "waste not, want not" . . . Wait! Actually, it's "I know that this little piece of paper can be USED FOR SOMETHING!" So, I'm going to use every bit until you cannot find one piece of it in my art studio. (I apologize in advance if you are over it.)

I altered the middle square of cardstock by painting over it, blotting the excess paint off, then splattering it with paint. This technique completely changed the look & feel of it, giving a mixed media style to the card.

Yeah! I used more supplies from my stash. The words are epoxy stickers that I have had in my possession for a very long time. Finally, their words can be heard.

This card was inspired by several challenge blogs - See below for links & details, so you can join in the fun & share your own creations!

Citrus Damask (Card No. 2)

The cardstock used for this card is some of my absolute favorites! The color scheme is unique & not seen very often together. I mean, really, who would have thought that yellow, black, gray & white can actually come together in such a delightful way? Someone did & I am reaping from their creativity - Thank you, thank you very much.

Citrus Damask (Card No. 1)

This card is made up of such wonderful colors, patterns & textures. Who would have thought that gray, black, white & yellow could look so lovely? With glitter & embossing details, it really pops & sparkles in a fun yet sophisticated way.

Layout was provided by Mojo Monday Challenge 231. Click here to see it & create your own card to share. The color scheme was inspired by Colour Create Challenge #91. To join in the color fun, click here.

A Frame Called Spring Storm

This scalloped edge frame is made up of yellow, gray, white & black - a spring storm, I like to call it. You know how it goes: dark ominous clouds (gray & black) with fluffy happy clouds (white) & sunshine filtering through (yellow.) To bring down the starkness of it all, I distressed the entire frame in white. Ta-duh! A unique color scheme meets a fun piece to showcase your photo.

I was inspired by Colour Create Challenge #91: Yellow, Gray, White & Black. Join in the challenge & come up with your own inspired creation by clicking here.

* Edited: So, it appears that I goofed. After checking out Colour Create's blog again, I realized that they only want "paper goods" for their challenges - Oops! Luckily, I just created a card that fits their challenge perfectly, so I have submitted that & you can find the post here: http://pinandtack.blogspot.com/2012/03/citrus-damask-card-no-1.html
