I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream
Have you joined us at Tuesday Alchemy for our current challenge? If not, you definitely should play with us! It's all about ice cream, and really, who doesn't like ice cream?
This creation is a tag/gift card holder. The main part is recycled from a paper towel tube that I flattened. (Just place a lot of heavy books on top for about a day.) I painted, distressed, then added the other details.
The beary sweet image is from When The Scrap Hits The Fun, who is just one of sponsors this week. You could win the entire Beary Sweet collection just by creating something new & sharing it with us!
And if that doesn't tempt you, you could also win a papermaking kit from Save On Crafts. It would be such a fun activity for you, your kids or a fellow crafter.

Three Scoops, Please
It's oh, so HOT! At least, it is here in Oregon. It's the kind of summer days that three scoops of yummy ice cream are necessary and you may just call it a new food group until it cools down.
Chocolate, strawberry & vanilla ice cream with polka dot sprinkles top a cone that was decorated with a well-loved dictionary page & rick rack.
It's a magnet, btw :)
If you haven't stopped by Tuesday Alchemy, it's time you did! Our challenge this week is, well, ice cream! And we'd love to have you join us with your own version of this delicious treat.
This magnet was submitted to these challenges.
See below for details, so you can play, too!

Thank You For Being My Friend
Keeping it simple was never so delicious!
I created this sweet treat using only white & black.
It's actually a tag. I attached twine to the popsicle stick on the back.
How? I punched a hole in the stick & looped the twine through.
Thank you, my beautiful friends!
You are all so fantastic & life just wouldn't be fun without you :)

Tuesday Alchemy's Challenge #25: Ice Cream Social
July 23rd was Ice Cream Cone Day - Did you celebrate it? If you did or didn't, you are invited to join in a celebration at Tuesday Alchemy by creating ANY project featuring this sweet dessert.
My favorite ice cream is Peanut Butter & Chocolate by So Delicious because its SO DELICIOUS - Ha! However, I really love to have 1/2 super rich chocolatey ice cream (think Chocolate Brownie) & the other 1/2 a refreshing Mint & Chip.
What's your favorite ice cream? Do you like it in a cone or in a bowl? Plain or dipped in chocolate? Sundae-style?
Oohh . . dear . . I have to stop thinking about it - Me want now!
If you decide to join in, you could win two fabulous prizes from our TWO sponsors this week. First, we have Save On Crafts, which is giving one lucky crafter a papermaking kit - Wouldn't that be a fun project?
Our second sponsor is close to my heart as it's one of Tuesday Alchemy's design team members. Marion of When The Scrap Hits The Fun is offering up the entire set of her Beary Sweet collection.
I was lucky enough to use one of the images from it AND it was pre-colored, which I loved!

{PIN}spirational Challenge #13: Inspiration Photo - Butterfly Cupcakes
A new Tuesday means a new challenge at {PIN}spirational Challenges. This week, we are inspired by cupcakes covered in a creamy mint frosting & topped with pretzel butterflies. Sweets always taste better when they look so beautiful, right?
How does this photo inspire you? Are you taken by the colors? The cupcakes or their unique embellishments? We would love to see what you come up! Create something new & share it with us at {PIN}spirational Challenges.
By participating, you have a chance to win a prize from this week's sponsor, Melonheadz. Their digital graphics are very cute & have that illustrated look for lots of fun!
Ok, so, yeah . . . I loved this picture & I was inspired by it rather quickly. It's always nice when that happens! I quickly put together this creation. It's CAS, but oh, so lovely :)
Instead of making cupcakes, I decided to create an ice cream cone as I'd already done the cupcakes on a past {PIN}spirational challenge. If you are like me, you enjoy a triple decker cone. Who wants just one scoop, anyway?
The ice cream & the cone was made using foam that I covered with glitter embossed cardstock. It's shiny & sparkly, although, you may not be able to tell from the photo. The butterflies are die cuts. I gently bent them in the middle to give more dimension to them.
I decided to keep it completely CAS, so the entire focus is on that yummy dessert.
Recommendation: Chocolate Peanut Butter, Organic So Delicious (Turtle Mountain.)

{ Fun Facts }
The U.S.A. enjoys an average of 48 pints of ice cream per person a year. That's more than any other country! (I'm not quite sure if this is something to be proud of.)
July is National Ice Cream Month in the U.S.A. It was proclaimed as such in 1984 by President Ronald Reagan.
What is the most ice cream cones prepared in a minute? Nineteen!
