Splish Splash

{ SAVE THE DATE ]

Tomorrow at Tuesday Alchemy, our Blog Hop & Challenge starts! Join us for tips, tutorials & prizes.

Starting on Sunday, June 17th, Pin & Tack's Vegan Barbecue Bonanza begins! Join me & my fellow vegans for yummy recipes, tips & prizes - It's time to get ready for grilling fun :)

The underwater scene is fabric NOT paper. I left the edges rough & it's not cut in a perfect rectangle. I think it adds a little to the card.

For dinner last night, we were joined by a friend & her son, so we decided to have pizza. Who doesn't like pizza? There is a fantastic place here, so we are never disappointed! This one has olives, garlic, red bell peppers & capers. It doesn't have any cheese or sauce - just a garlic olive oil. This pizza has the best crust & it's wheat, too! Yum, yum :)

These photos are from today after I reheated it & added my own homemade cheese sauce (on the side.)

River

The background for this card is another photo that I took while in the Caribbean. It was my first time actually leaving the USA & it was amazing. I can't wait to go again. Of course, it will be a while before that happens, but I still dream about those tropical days :)

Bunny Bath Time

A golden bunny takes a little "me" time in a bubble-filled bath with a cup of tea. Aaww . . can't you just feel the happiness & relaxation?

For the flower, I added glitter glue to the center before attaching beaded trim underneath it.

Tuesday Alchemy Challenge #9: Overload

For Tuesday Alchemy's challenge this week, I decided to go with an abundance of colors, patterns & textures. The center oval was made by me using Scratch-N-Sniff stickers. Yep, this card smells like candy & other sweet treats - Isn't that awesome?

Eiffel Tower Featuring Pin & Tack's Paperclips

This card was probably one of the easiest cards I've created. I grabbed a few pieces of cardstock from my scrap drawer & it just put itself together. I left plenty of negative space because the card base has so much texture & I didn't want to hide it.

I added one of my handcrafted paperclips as the
only non-paper embellishment. It was just perfect!

May All Your Dreams Come True

Cards can be created using simple elements & still look fabulous! This card was made mostly with cardstock & paper, but I added burlap, faux flower & rhinestones to create a shabby chic look.

Citrus Damask (Card No. 3)

It may seem that I am obsessed with my citrus damask papers, but I'm not . . no, really, I'm not. What am I doing then? Well, I'm glad you asked.

I'm on a mission to use every bit of them, so I don't add to my already overflowing drawer of scraps. I made lots & lots of parcel tags (available soon at Pin & Tack) from this cardstock. As with every project, there are always leftovers. Since my motto is "waste not, want not" . . . Wait! Actually, it's "I know that this little piece of paper can be USED FOR SOMETHING!" So, I'm going to use every bit until you cannot find one piece of it in my art studio. (I apologize in advance if you are over it.)

I altered the middle square of cardstock by painting over it, blotting the excess paint off, then splattering it with paint. This technique completely changed the look & feel of it, giving a mixed media style to the card.

Yeah! I used more supplies from my stash. The words are epoxy stickers that I have had in my possession for a very long time. Finally, their words can be heard.

Spring Chick

I introduce to you to this sweet, little chick-a-dee. Her name is Daffodil. She loves sunshine, flowers & a nice cup of tea with close friends.

{ Spring Chick - Mini Everyday Greeting Card }

This circle card is very small - Only 2" wide, so it's perfect for attaching to gifts. I used a variety of textured cardstock along with brown ink. The flowers have 3 layers & their centers are dots of paint. Happy Spring, indeed!

Spring Chick was created for Mojo Monday 230 & Cute Card Thursday. Click their names to go to the challenge blogs & join in the fun!
