Clear It Out Challenge #13: Anything Goes With Black, Orange & Purple

It's October - Can you believe it? The year has just been flying by!

At Clear It Out Challenges, we wanted to celebrate the upcoming holiday. Happy Halloween! Ok, it is a little early, but this challenge will allow you to create a card (or any craft) for the day of candy, dressing up and spookiness.

Of course, we didn't want you to feel that you have to create a Halloween creation, so it's a color challenge using those popular colors of this fun holiday - Black, Orange & Purple.

Bugaboo is our sponsor this challenge and I used one of their super fun digis in this creation.
I chose to go with a super funky Christmas card. I mean, really, do Christmas cards always have to be green, red & white?

Have you used unusual colors in a Christmas card? If so, what colors did you use?

Anything But A Card Challenge #3: Sparkle & Shine

Sparkle & Shine! It's our newest challenge at Anything But A Card Challenges. Like the name, you must create anything that is not a card.

I created this special set of mini clothes pins. They are my specialty after all :)

Vibrant turquoise is distressed with black, tipped with black glitter, then tied with twine & topped with a black rhinestone.

I would love to see what you come up with, so please join us with your latest creation.

Please Call Me

I finally got around to using a stamp that I've had for a while now. It's one of my favorites because of that cute little phone. I love stamps and I have a lot, but I'm more of a collector than an actual user.

Do you use stamps? Not digital stamps, but old school rubber or clear stamps?

Be Still My Heart

Luckily, the weather has been quite lovely here, so there really is no reason that I shouldn't bee happy :)

What would make me extra, extra happy is if you join me at Tuesday Alchemy for our Buttons challenge!

You can submit ANY type of craft. It doesn't just have to be cards or other papercrafts, either. It can be a necklace or soap! (I'm still waiting for someone to enter soap - Ha!)

Also, you can enter as many times as you want, combine with any other challenges & you may just win a fantastic prize.

I submitted this card to these wonderful challenge blogs. See below for links, so you can join in!

Here are more creations that are available in my shop, Pin & Tack.

Mermaid

When I first heard that Tuesday Alchemy's challenge would be "Mermaids", I must admit that I wasn't looking forward to it.  I don't think I've ever used mermaids in any of my crafts. Checking mental computer . . . still checking . . . Nope, I haven't created anything with mermaids to date. No mermaid papers, embellishments or even ideas. Yikes! What to do, what to do?

Luckily, I remembered how resourceful I can be, or rather, that Google is my friend. I found a vintage mermaid image, printed it & used it as the centerpiece of this playful card.

I also did a little cheating. Well, it's not really cheating. I like to say it's making things easier & multitasking. I used the theme from TA & the sketch from CP. This one card completed two challenges for me - See below for the links & details, so you can join in the fun & share your own creation:
