Tuesday Alchemy Challenge #36: Color Recipe - Magenta, Olive & Teal

It's time for color, beautiful oh, so lovely color at Tuesday Alchemy!
You can use one, two or all three along with neutrals.
If you use all three, you can earn an extra entry (See blog for details.)

Our sponsors are Di's Digi Downloads and Broken Box Designs.

I chose to use one color because teal is just one of my favorites. What's your favorite color? Is it any that are in the challenge this week?

{ IDEA }

Alter your chipboard shapes, especially if you need them to fit with your scheme or theme like I did with this house shape.

Emboss it! I removed a layer of the chipboard backing, so it would be thinner & would accept the embossing better.
Paint it! I distressed it with teal paint to bring more teal into the look of it and add extra detail.
Embellish it! Add embellishes to it like these silver brads & grosgrain ribbon.

{PIN}spirational Challenge #27: Photo - Deer In The Forest

Happy Tuesday! It's a new challenge at {PIN}spirational Challenges. As always, we share a photo for you to be inspired by. See below for what it is.

I was inspired by the deer (obviously - Ha!) and the yellow colors.

Our sponsor Squigglefly offers the perfect digital stamp for this challenge and I was lucky enough to be able to use it.

My Heart Is Floating In The Cloads

I absolutely adore this creation of mine! Yes, I'm going to toot my own horn, but I definitely love this card :)

I used lots of my paper scraps, embellishes & die cuts (including handcut felt clouds) that I've been holding on to for . . . well, I don't really know, but I'm glad I waited!

Do you have a project that you absolutely love? I'd love for you to share it with me!

Please Call Me

I finally got around to using a stamp that I've had for a while now. It's one of my favorites because of that cute little phone. I love stamps and I have a lot, but I'm more of a collector than an actual user.

Do you use stamps? Not digital stamps, but old school rubber or clear stamps?

You Deserve A Gold Heart

For this creation, I recycled organza ribbon from a gift, giving it new life and another purpose.

The gold hearts are brads, but I removed their spokes because I don't like having them show on the inside of the card.

Have your recycled something recently? What was it?

Autumn

Good morning, my fellow crafters!

Here is a CAS card for your viewing pleasure. It's very . . . well, clean and simple. All of the elements are from my massive stash, including the card base which I had made previously.

CAS - Try It Today

I'm keeping it super simple with this creation. by using all lilac cardstock with just a few hints of black and white.

I am not a CAS crafter, so I always have to stop myself from adding more and more embellishments.

Are you fancy smancy or a clean and simple artist? Or do you enjoy doing both styles?

Three Clouds

Happy Wednesday, lovely people!

The clouds were cut by hand and freestyle. I didn't use a pattern, so each cloud is unique - just like the real deal!

I also embossed the patterned paper with swirls to add a little extra texture.

Have you made your own embellishment lately? If so, what was it? Do you enjoy making your own or do you leave it to others?

{PIN}spirational Challenge #23: Photo Inspiration - Flowers In Pots

Isn't this such a wonderful idea? Hanging pots in rows on a fence is a fantastic way to add extra beauty to an outside space.

This is our newest inspiration photo for {PIN}spirational Challenges. Aren't you just inspired? I was!

There are so many lovely little details that you can take with you as you create. We would love to see you share your project with us, too!

Our sponsor at {PIN}spirational Challenges this week is Birdie Brown, who I am a HUGE fan of!

They offer adorable and super cute digis. I was lucky enough to be able to use one for this card.

To make the "eyes" on the flowers, I layered a black rhinestone on top of my "faux" brads. They make it very fabulous AND silly, don't you think?

Relax

I really tried to make this card "masculine." However, my feminine side definitely won out! I just couldn't resist adding flowers, bling & ribbons.

The corner detail is actually a corner bookmark that can easily be removed. (See photo below.)

It's a wonderful way to give a little gift with your card and add extra detail to it.

Hello, My Name Is Winner

I recently was picked as a winner from Sassy Studio Designs, so I had my choice of two digital stamps. This card features one of them.

I'm not very skilled at coloring, so I usually just print out the digital stamp and add details to it, such as the orange skirt & twine belt that she sports.

Are you good at coloring in digis? What's your medium of choice?
