Reasons To Wear Autumn

With Autumn arriving, it's time to celebrate.
And you can do that by wearing it - around your neck, dangling from your ears.
Enjoy these handmade and perfectly wearable pieces.

Wear The Autumn, a collection of handmade jewelry.

The colors are turning warm and rustic.
Focus is on leaves, acorns and other Fall-inspired treasures.
What's your favorite part of Autumn?

Lady Anne's Paper Crafts' Friday Sentiments: Girlie With A Twist

Welcome to a new challenge at Lady Anne's Paper Crafts! The challenge is now monthly, so you have lots of time to create a project to share with us.

This month's Friday Sentiments challenge is all about the girly girl, but don't forget to add the twist of flourishes and swirls.

Since this is a "thank you" card, I would like to mention a few things that I am thankful for . . .

Blue skies & warm days (Is it really October?)

Nature

I am on a mission. What mission is that? Well, it's a mission that every crafter is continuously on: Using up your stash!

I grabbed papers from my green scraps drawer & this is what I cam up with. Masculine cards are always difficult for me, but using green & natural twine made this card easy peasy for me.

What have you made with your scraps lately?

Heartfelt Wishes

This sexy lady is courtesy of Sassy Design Studios, who is the sponsor at Tuesday Alchemy this week.

If you'd like a chance to win your own digital stamps from Sassy Design Studios, join in the challenge.

It's all about learning with joy AND there is a blog hop for an extra way to win a prize!
This card features a handmade bookmark, which actually makes up most of the embellishments & design of it.

It's a great way to give a gift inside of a card! I was inspired by a challenge that wanted you to include a surprise in your card.

Summer

Hello, everyone!

I am still looking for artists and crafters to join my design team for an inspiration challenge. If you love to craft, I welcome you to apply.

It's a monthly challenge, so you will only have to create one project a month. Easy, right?

If you can't commit to a full term of 4 months, I am also welcoming guest designers.

For all of the details, please click here.

My Crafty Mind Has Hit The Wall

This week I just couldn't sit down & create cards for challenges as much as I'd like to. I tried. I tried again, but I just ended up sitting at my table staring at my TV screen or looking out my window. I have a lot to do, but I just couldn't get myself to do it. I made sure that I completed my DT tasks & shop orders, of course.

Since finding all of my old jewelry, I had these wonderful plans to recycle it all into creations. I managed to create two things so far. This is the second one, the first one can be found here.

The bow is from a choker. It's actually the backing that was coming off, so I stripped it & turned it into the bow. Very soft & supple material with a rich brown color. I still have the rest of the choker to work with, too.

The other details include a chipboard flourish that I covered & sealed with glitter, leaf stickers & faux flowers/

Have you ever been blah about your craft? If so, how did you get out of it? I'd love to hear your story :)

Burlap, Nature, Stamp & Twine

One Idea = Two Cards

Using the same elements, I created two cards. The only difference is the card base color, the stamp & the greenery on the left side, which is  a different part of a photo that I took while in the Caribbean. If only I could afford to return there, I would be there so fast - It was an amazing trip!

Leaves were punched from vellum, which adds a lot more interest than using plain or patterned cardstock. Have you punched anything from vellum lately? I'd love to see how you used it!

Bicycle Trip

It's time to take a little trip on the bike. The weather is perfect for it (if you live where I do.) I'm going to take some time & remember how to ride my bike since I haven't gotten on it in quite a few months! Luckily, you never forget . . .

I scavenged through my printed photos & found a lovely one of a Manzanita tree. It's bark naturally peels, creating a beautiful mix of colors.
