Lavender XOXO

Lavender caught my eye, so I searched for it throughout my online world.
This is what I found. May you enjoy it as much as I did.

A Classic Thanksgiving Menu

This could be your Thanksgiving dinner. All of the classic dishes made with love.
While they don't use any animal ingredients, they are still absolutely delicious!

Classic Thanksgiving Dinner Recipes

{ Appetizers }

Squash Soap, Appetizer, Thanksgiving Dinner

Did you read that? Slow cooker. Less work. Yep. I like that idea as well!

{ Side Dishes }

Green Bean Casserole, Side Dish, Thanksgiving Dinner

Maple-Glazed Carrots, Side Dish, Thanksgiving Dinner

Aren't those carrots lovely? Splurge just a bit. Buy organic.
They really do taste better from my own personal experience.

Cranberry Sauce, Side Dish, Thanksgiving Dinner

Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Side Dish, Thanksgiving Dinner

{ Main Dish }

Tofu "Turkey," Main Dish, Thanksgiving Dinner

{ Dessert }

Pumpkin Pie, Dessert, Thanksgiving Dinner

Apple Pie, Dessert, Thanksgiving Dinner

I've learned that Thanksgiving dinner actually is a vegan's dream.
Most of the dishes use vegetable ingredients as their stars.
It's really only the seasoning that needs a few tweaks here & there.

It's A Piece Of Cake

Cake. There's nothing like a good, homemade cake. Yum, yum, yum.
These recipes are just the beginning of what is possible. Now, it's time to get your cake on!

Clockwise, left to right: 1. Vanilla; 2. Red Velvet; 3. Carrot; 4. Chocolate

And now that you have made the cake, it's time for the decorations.

Clockwise, left to right: 1. Dried Pansies; 2. Sugar Butterflies; 3. Clover Candies

I'm partial to a big slice of German Chocolate, but that won't stop me from eating whatever vegan delight is available. Sugar addicts, please raise your hand. [Hand raised!] What's your favorite cake?

Apples Are Roses

Apples are a member of the Rose family (along with apricots and almonds.)
An apple a day is good for you as it offers a variety of health benefits.
So, the old saying is actually quite true!

Eat one fresh & whole or enjoy this tasty fruit in one of these recipes:

I Never Thought I Would Say This . . .

I never thought I would say this: Thank you, Domino's Pizza! Well, at least, thank you to Domino's in Israel, who will be offering a vegan pizza.

When 1000s of pizza eaters requested a vegan option, they agreed wholeheartedly. This pizza will be topped with soy cheese and vegetables, making it perfect for plant-based diets.

Could this mean an addition to the USA restaurants as well? I hope so and it may well happen. You can read more about it at COK and help this vegan request take hold, too, by letting Domino's know you want this to happen everywhere not just Israel.

Until that option is available near us, you can make your own pizzas with these yummy recipes.
