You Deserve A Gold Heart

For this creation, I recycled organza ribbon from a gift, giving it new life and another purpose.

The gold hearts are brads, but I removed their spokes because I don't like having them show on the inside of the card.

Have your recycled something recently? What was it?

CAS - Try It Today

I'm keeping it super simple with this creation. by using all lilac cardstock with just a few hints of black and white.

I am not a CAS crafter, so I always have to stop myself from adding more and more embellishments.

Are you fancy smancy or a clean and simple artist? Or do you enjoy doing both styles?

Happy Christmas Merry

I've been inspired by a variety of crafters, who have been making Christmas cards using colors that you don't usually see, such as pink.

Since I have a lot of purple (and I don't know why), I decided to use some of my scraps along with alphabets that I've been hoarding for far too long.

Here is my easy Christmas card. What do you think? Have you created a Christmas card using unconventional colors?

{PIN}spirational Challenge #19 - View of Vanity

It's Tuesday - Do you know where your next challenge is? Well, I do . . .

It's at {PIN}spirational Challenges, which always has a new challenge featuring a photo that will inspire you.

Our sponsor is Meljen's Studios for our 19th challenge and they are just lovely! I used a digital stamp from Meljen's Studios for my project, so you can see one of their works in use.

I took inspiration from the bouquet of flowers, creating my own bouquet. Three roses stand tall inside a clear vase decorated by the roses' leaves, ribbon & a charm.

Roses are beautiful flowers and they smell wonderful, but my favorite flowers are actually Dahlias.

What's your favorite flower?

Peace And Love

Peace,
Love
& Happiness!

For this tag, I used an image from Sassy Studio Designs. It's all white except for the black, which just couldn't be avoided or else you wouldn't be able to see the words! Ha . .

Thank You For Being My Friend

Keeping it simple was never so delicious!

I created this sweet treat using only white & black.
It's actually a tag. I attached twine to the popsicle stick on the back.
How? I punched a hole in the stick & looped the twine through.

Thank you, my beautiful friends!
You are all so fantastic & life just wouldn't be fun without you :)

Paint Your Nails Today

While looking for new challenge blogs (as I am an addict!), I came across one that I hadn't seen before. It was a wonderful find!

Broken Box Stock has super fun digital stamps and better still, they offer lots of them for free!

Since you have to use one of their images to join the challenge, this is definitely helpful.

This digital stamp is from their collection of digital stamps - I definitely recommend checking out everything they have to offer!

Tuesday Alchemy Challenge #17: Sand, Surf & Sea

It's World Ocean Day on June 8th! At Tuesday Alchemy this week, we decided to celebrate all week long by challenging ourselves and you to create ANY craft that is inspired by the sand, surf & sea. Want to join this celebration or just learn more about World Ocean Day? Fantastic! Click here.

My favorite color combination (at least for the moment) is red with light blue, so I used just that on this creation. The white card is covered in rows of small crabs. The center is swirl-embossed cardstock with layers of burlap on top. I painted, glittered & sealed a chipboard flourish before embellishing it with red satin ribbon. The final detail: an oval mirror with "Love" printed on it.

I decided to attempt to complete a full week of challenges for 365 Cards. This is my second card today for them. Stay tuned to see if I can complete all 7 challenges . . .
