Heart This, Heart That: Gold, Gray & White

When perusing Etsy, I can't help but click hearts on a variety of products.
This is a sneaky peaky into my personal favorites, handmade & vintage.

What can one find in your own favorites? Or do you see something here that you like?
As always, share in the comments. I'd enjoy hearing from you!

With blessings & joy, yours truly . . . Corrinne Quinn

You Deserve A Gold Heart

For this creation, I recycled organza ribbon from a gift, giving it new life and another purpose.

The gold hearts are brads, but I removed their spokes because I don't like having them show on the inside of the card.

Have your recycled something recently? What was it?

A Mini Christmas Wreath

Christmas will be coming soon. Yeah, there is still months until than, but it's always good to get started on the holiday cardmaking.

This is a mini wreath that I made by hand before adding ribbon, gold stars & twine.

Have you started your holiday cards yet? Do you make them early or wait until the last minute?

NEW! ABAC Challenge #1: Anything Goes

It's finally here - the first challenge for the newest challenge blog on the block: Anything But A Card.

I am excited to be a part of this challenge blog, especially because it is different than all of the others. It's all about anything BUT a card.

There are so many other things that can be created, so why not stretch your creativity a little and share something besides a card with us?

I created a little piece of crafty art. A wooden slab was covered with torn pieces of an old, well-loved romance novel. I collaged it, then embellished with twine, gold stars, "brads" & dried roses from my very own garden.

Have you made something other than a card lately? What was it? I can't wait to hear about it!

And don't forget to stop by ABAC and play with us, too!

Clear It Out Challenge #9: One For The Boys

I am excited to share my first DT project for Clear It Out Challenges!

Clear It Out Challenges focuses on using your stash of craft supplies. You know you have them, we all have them. Lots of various papers, embellishments and other goodies that are just waiting to be used.

Well, now is the time! The challenge is "One For The Boys" and you must use two or more patterned papers.

Our sponsor is Dude Time Doodles, who has hilarious digital stamps! I used one for this project. Isn't he just a riot? Ha ha ha!

Now, since he brought up moonshine, let's chat. Do you like beer? If so, what kind do you partake in?

Love

 Oh, bold & sparkling love!

This tag was made with a mix of elements. I've always enjoyed creating a "collage" out of my embellishes. It's probably what you would call my style - eclectic collage!

I've had this gold sequin FOREVER & I keep trying to use it, but it has never worked for me until now. I made a little bow out of it.

Do you have anything in your stash that you keep trying to use, but it only turns into one of those craft fails? Have you finally succeeded or are you still trying?

Christmas In July

I made this a TRUE Christmas In July by adding a sexy lady in her bikini with a beach ball on this card (Digi stamp courtesy of Sassy Studio Designs - in case you want to get her for yourself!)

She looks a little light in the photo because I added paint to give her a creamy color to match the other colors in this card.

I also used some of my new Candi (See the gold & black circles?) They look like buttons or brads, but they are actually cardstock - Fantastic, I think!

Soap Monthly, July 2012

Since I know how to make soap, I make all of the soap that is used by my partner & I. Every month, I bring out my supplies & make up a large batch, so we don't have to worry about being nice & clean for the month (or buying those yucky beauty bars!) I will be sharing my creations every month - Won't that be fun? All of my soaps are 100% vegan . . . No animal ingredients & no animal testing.

Color: Smoky Blue
Scent: Vintage Rose

A generous helping of dried herbs makes this soap perfect for exfoliating the body.

Color: Greens
Scent: Bamboo Hemp

I added French Green Clay, which removes impurities & toxins, making it perfect for a facial soap (if you don't have sensitive skin.)

Color: Gold Shimmer/Smoky Blue
Scent: Patchouli/Berry Sorbet

The gold half has lovely chamomile powder & buds. It's heavenly as an exfoliant as well as adding a delightful chamomile scent.

Do you make your own soap or other beauty products?
If so, what do you like to create? Do you sell them or are they just for personal use?

Sparkle, Bloom & Bow

It is just not very cheery today. Rain, rain, rain! The local weather girl says it's "light showers" - Ha! Everything is soaked & it hasn't let up since I awoke this morning.
