Day 70: Belt It Out

I haven't bought clothes in a rather long time. I finally spent the time to buy a few things. It's hard for me to find anything right now, though.

It's HOT! I want pieces that I can wear year round that are casual & business-friendly. I did settle on a couple pairs of pants, which came with sweet belts.

This is one of the belts. It's not leather, which is very important to me. It is fun, girly & a happy color!

This post is another addition for the 30 Days Of Reflections Photo Challenge. Today features the last thing I bought.

Day 69: Burger & Fries - Classic!

Normally for lunch, I eat nachos minus the cheese (because as a vegan I have to make my own & I don't always feel like it.) I eat Mexican food 5 - 7 days a week. I LOVE it!

Today, I decided to change things up a little & have that good ol' American meal: burger & fries.

What's in it?

Thickly sliced Italian bread, toasted
Spring mix lettuce
Veggie burger
Red Onion, diced
Tomato, sliced
Pickles, sliced
Ketchup & mustard

I add garlic granules to my fries for extra flavor :)

This is another addition to the 30 Days Of Reflection Photo Challenge.

Day 68: Roses Are Red

Red mini roses grow happily on my back porch. They are quite easy to care for, too. I don't like plants that needs lots of care. I just don't have the time!

I cut the blooms, hang them upside down & let them dry. I can enjoy them longer & use them in crafts if I want.

They dry to a very dark red, which is just stunning!

I am sharing my roses with you for the 30 Days Of Reflections Photo Challenge. Today's reflection is something red.

Day 67: Fair Trade

For the 30 Days Of Reflection Photo Challenge, we were asked to share a stuffed animal. Well, I don't have any stuffed animals. I haven't had one since I was a child & I'm definitely not a child anymore.

This stuffed animal is from Stitchy Situations. She custom made a teal dinosaur for me & I created mini cards for her. It was a fair trade.

I gifted this quirky creature to my nephew, who absolutely adored it!

Day 66: Pay It Forward

For the 30 Days Of Reflection Photo Challenge, we are asked to share our favorite piece of jewelry. This is mine . . . a pair of earrings made of lazer cut acrylic shapes.

I found these on Etsy as a PIF from a shop that sells the individual pieces for others' to create with. PIF = Pay It Forward. They offered them for a small fee - mostly the Etsy, Paypal & shipping fees. This pair cost less than it cost to purchase the individual elements.

They are my favorite because they are long & dangly with lovely colors & a unique look.

What's your favorite piece of jewelry?

Day 65: Creating With Friends

This dish belongs to my friend. I borrowed it to bring home leftover food from one of our dinners.

It always brings back the memory of an evening of wine, crafting & fun. We went to a local pottery shop & she made this piece. Well, she painted it green. She'd had a bit of wine - not to mention, she isn't a "crafty" person - & all she could manage was layers & layers of green paint.

It's been a good piece, although, it has few chips. I made a spoon rest, but unfortunately, it broke, so I can't show it to you.

What do you do with friends? Do you have a favorite memory with them? I'd love for you to share it with me! This post was created for the 30 Days Of Reflection Photo Challenge. This fifth day is about something you borrowed. Are you joining in? If so, please let me know & I'll stop by to visit your reflections.

Day 64: I See Green Everyday

The first thing I do every morning is make a cup of steaming coffee using my French press. I add sugar & almond milk, then blend it all together. Coffee - it's my necessity, or maybe it's just a habit, but I do so enjoy it.

I take it outside on my porch, sit in my comfy chair & relax while the birds sing. It's a wonderful way to wake up, prepare & plan what I'll be doing for the day.

How do you start your day? Is it always the same?
Are you a morning person (like me)?

It's the fourth day in 30 Days Of Reflection Photo Challenge & it's all about something green. This photo is what I see everyday. It's just a small portion of my backyard. There is tall bamboo, a bush of some sort & Day Lilies.

Day 63: Oh, My Sweet Puppy

Originally, this trio of photos was displayed in a rather dull wood frame, but I decided to change it up. It turned out wonderfully & now it fits perfectly with my living room color scheme. It's always satisfying when I can take something I already have & change it to suit my new needs.

I altered this frame to use in a Tuesday Alchemy challenge. You can see the original post here.

Yeah, yeah! I've caught up with the 30 Days Of Reflection Photo Challenge. I'm on track, so you will find a picture post every day.

Day 62: My Favorite Childhood Book

As a child, I read, read & read some more. I loved the written word & I could never get enough books. My room was filled with them!

I also enjoyed reading my favorites again & again. My favorite childhood book wasn't just one book, but a series. Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House On The Prairie series was it for me.

I still have the books, which are the ones in the photos. As you can see, they've had a lot of love & I've enjoyed them many times.

Since this post is for the 30 Days Of Reflection Photo Challenge & I'm supposed to show my favorite childhood book, I'll share with you my favorite of my favorites.

Farmer Boy isn't Laura Ingalls Wilder's story as all the others are, but rather it's her husband's when he was a boy.

It's full of everyday adventures that he had as a child growing up on a farm. It's truly delightful & I highly recommend it!

Day 61: The Lake - Can You Guess Which One?

I just discovered a wonderful blog challenge. And I love, love, LOVE challenges. This one is a little different than others I've come across, so I decided I'm going to jump right in. It's called 30 Days Of Reflection Photo Challenge. To find out more details, you can go to Pretty-Random-Things.

It started on July 1st, so I have to catch up a little as I just found out about it. This is for July 1st (Day 61): A picture of the last place you traveled to.

I can be quite horrible at taking pictures. This is one of about 5 that I took on my recent camping trip to the lake. I enjoy being in the moment. Stopping to take a picture just doesn't enter my mind most of the time. I'm focused on talking, playing games & just being a dirty, scruffy camper. Also, what am I going to do with all of those pictures?

Well, actually, I know what I'm going to do with them. Absolutely nothing. I usually glance through them when I get home. I may share them with others, too.

Are you a picture taker? What do you do with your photos?
