Orange You Glad I Said Orange - A Refreshed Look #05

Orange has fast become one of my favorite colors. It started several years ago.
That's why I created this treasury in 2011, which shows only half of what I actually chose for it.

And orange is still one of my top color choices. Here is another collection of delightfulness.

Travel The Pacific Northwest - A Refreshed Look #04

On July 5, 2011, I invited Etsyians to travel to the Pacific Northwest.
The journey involved artists and crafters in this fabulous region.

Sadly, the original treasury has since lost a lot of items.

But, luckily, there are still many people living in the area with handmade creations.

And this time, YOU are invited to join me. Stop by the shops, favorite & buy.
Especially if they are local to you. If not, search for people near you :)

Gray - A Refreshed Look #03

It's not always black and white. Sometimes, it just gray and it can be beautiful.
I chose gray for an Etsy treasury on June 1, 2011 because I believe its such a lovely color.
Or is it a "non-color"? Here is the original treasury - missing a few as happens over time.

And here is the newest treasury, inspired by this one and the color gray. Enjoy!

6 Fashion Finds Inspired By Clear Winter Skies

A collection of handmade finds that will be a perfect fit for winter . . .

(Source, Clockwise: 1. Scarf - Bessette Art, 2. Leggings - CHIBA, 3. Handbag - Raquel Gonzalez, 4. Boots - Siamese Dream Design, 5. Gloves - Hope Floats Upcycled, 6. Coat - Spanish Threads)
What do you pull from your closet for winter? Do you have a favorite color, material or piece of clothing for the season? Since I tend to get hot easily - if I was older, I'd think I was going through menopause! - so I wear layers that can easily be removed or added as needed.

I'd enjoy hearing about what you can't live without during these cold months.

Anything But A Card Challenge #5: Black

I invite you to join the Anything But A Card challenge. It's all about black, so add this color to your creations and share it with us today!

I decided to create clippies. Black grosgrain ribbon was shaped into bows, then topped with layers of fabric flower shapes & finished with a fun lady bug.

Day 70: Belt It Out

I haven't bought clothes in a rather long time. I finally spent the time to buy a few things. It's hard for me to find anything right now, though.

It's HOT! I want pieces that I can wear year round that are casual & business-friendly. I did settle on a couple pairs of pants, which came with sweet belts.

This is one of the belts. It's not leather, which is very important to me. It is fun, girly & a happy color!

This post is another addition for the 30 Days Of Reflections Photo Challenge. Today features the last thing I bought.

Would you like to see my other reflections? Yes? How wonderful!

Inspired By Cheap Kicks

I love fashion, although, I'm not the most fashionable. I have an eclectic taste, so my fashion choices have always been met with "That totally works for you, Corrinne." Yeah, I know what that means . . . It's funky & they would never choose it, but I somehow manage to pull it off.

I've fallen off the wagon of dressing up. I work in a studio by myself, so it doesn't matter if I show up in a mismatched outfit or wear my clogs - You know, the ones with holes in 'em. Well, I realized I needed to make a change when I cam across Lorna & her blog, Cheap Kicks.

Lorna inspires me with her quirky, eclectic fashion sense. She mixes styles for a unique look & it's always fun, fun, fun!

I've been following her blog for a while now & I just couldn't resist sharing her with you. She posts about her everyday fashion with plenty of photos, too.

I asked & she kindly answered, sharing more about herself with you & I.

{ About }

I was never into fashion when I was younger. I think the . . . shall we call it obsession? started when I went to my first music festival. I'd say I dressed quite boyish back then, jeans and a band tee type thing. Pretty boring!!!

But I think seeing people from all walks of life dressed in so many different ways made me realize fashion is fun and to embrace it. I'm not the most creative person in other aspects of my life. I work in accounts for a start but I love how creative dressing can be and I find it's a great way to express myself.

{ Interests }

Music festivals and gigs are a big part of my life, a summer wouldn't be right without at least one festival. I find they're such happy places where everyone is free to be whoever they want as well as dress how you want. I also love the social side, what's better then spending a weekend with your best friends, listening to some great music, made even better if the weathers nice. Other then that I love any sort of social event, I've been loving the Olympic torch relay at the moment, not only is it a great excuse to have a gathering with friends I also love that the whole community gets involved and once again they're such happy places.

I thought I'd just do a list of things I like.....

Colours, bargains, quirkyness, vintage tea cups and vintage suitcases, feel good films, especially musicals, music in the sun...with cider, strawberrys with ice cream, anything with ice cream, colourful eye make-up, nail art, surprises, buying surprises for others, making people smile, organising......I'm such a neat freak, paper bags, bon bons, silly dancing, bouncy castles, fruity candles and of course friends and family

- Lorna

Thank you, Lorna, for being a part of my blog, inspiring me to get out of my jeans & I'll be stopping by your blog soon :)
